Cape Breton University is a leader in Indigenous education and community economic development, with expertise in L’nu traditional knowledge systems, reconciliation, and decolonization. Home to the Purdy Crawford Chair in Aboriginal Business Studies, CBU promotes Indigenous entrepreneurship and economic development through research and education. Unama’ki College further supports these efforts by integrating Mi’kmaw culture and knowledge into its programs, exemplifying CBU’s commitment to fostering reconciliation and advancing Indigenous education.
